Napa Valley Petite Sirah

Big but elegant Red. Deep purple color. Mostly Petite Syrah but also includes Syrah (12%), Grenache (8%), Carignan (2%) and Viognier (1%). Generous aromas of red and black fruit, tar and purple flowers. Cooked red, blue and black fruit flavors with hints of black licorice, tobacco and vanilla. Hint of black pepper on the finish. Tannins have really mellowed. Bold but also restrained. Nice balance. Thank You John P.

This petite sirah 2012 vintage is wonderful. Just loved it very smooth with some berries. Had it with filet steaks.

Nice drop. Med bodied, tannins a bit sharp but nice earthy and floral notes along with cherry / fruity flavours. Interesting and enjoyable.

Probably a little early for this 2012, after all I have heard about their earlier vintages. It is a lighter color than expected for the fruit that it delivers. Also, probably a little warm due to improper storage temperatures. Good wine for the appetizer section.

I love this, it's a nice Petit Syrah that I can drink alone or with food.
