Black cherry with a little strawberry fruit. This also has some chocolate, a little oak, and a hint of pepper. Acidity is mild, and tannins even milder. Overall this is a subdued wine, not a bold one. It’s not one for the ages, or for a fancy dinner, but for drinking with a casual meal it’s good. It was $6 at Trader Joe’s, and good value at the price.
