Mar 27th, 2015Vanilla, currant, and green bell pepper dominate the nose. On the palate there the fruit is red to blue, no green notes, some spice from oak, cinnamon, cardamom, clove. Medium acidity. I'd be interested to taste this in a few years. I love the new package which highlights the history of the winery and first current winemaker, Ed Killian, and the founder (and California Wine Pioneer Lee Stewart) to the wine.

Jul 11th, 20171997 Rsv- cellared since release. We honeymooned at this property (amongst a couple others) and this has always held a special cockle of our hearts. Bright jammy fruit w/ blueberry overtones lead to a medium-long finish with soft dusty tannins. Delicious, has a few years left during its peak. I want more!

Dec 26th, 2016Served two bottles of this 2008 Reserve last night - both were exceptional. I have opened this wine over the years, and it never tasted as good. I think it is reaching its peak or is at peak. My suggestion is to drink them now if you are sitting on some in your cellar. Dark berry fruit, dark chocolate, leather, a little tobacco all coming together nicely.
