A deep red/purple with hints of brown. The nose is fruity, raspberry and strawberry. The taste is very herbal, lots of pepper with hints of copper pipe on the finish. Overall, very tannic, the balance is off giving the wine a heavy flat feel. Probably a bit oxidized.
