Intense fruit with intense alcohol masking some of the flavor. Not sure why they went this way with a Zin that seems to have great depth and intensity hiding in there. Have to say I still enjoyed it but more promise than realization.

Must've had a better-than-average bottle because this was damn fine stuff. Big and jammy with pepper and leather under the fruit. Could've been a little more heavy on the tannins -- it softened a bit too much with time. But will emphatically but again.
