Deep dark garnet color and full bodied. Very high alcohol at 15.5% which over whelms the wine, but the alcohol dissipates and mellows after 20-30mins of breathing. Very fruit forward with notes of ripe plum and red cherry and a medium tannic finish. Too much of a fruit bomb for my palate.
