Dark ruby in color with a nice purplish rim.
On the nose, blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, metals, light wood, dust, licorice, sage, green vegetables, herbs and black pepper.
Medium-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Tart on the attack with plums, cherries, smoke, raspberries, strawberries, oak, light vanilla, vegetables, earth, tobacco, licorice, pine and peppercorn.
Medium finish with medium tannins and bitter almonds.
A nice cabernet from Mendocino County, California. Simple and better right out of the bottle. A little unbalanced, but still drinkable, and better with food. After an hour it becomes tart and too acidic, so better to drink fast.
Seems like it is past its prime now. Was probably better a year ago.
