Rutherford Bench Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

I'm loving the 2005 napa cabs

Above average but lots of dark fruit. Preferring this less than in the past. Thought some of the fruit would have mellowed to earthiness with the aging but no. Not as good if a value as it once was. Sad.

12yr Anniversary Dinner! PnP. Dark purple color. Blackberries, Dark cherries, anise, and subtle tar on the nose and palate. Medium plus depth. Finish was lacking. I enjoyed it.

1hr+ decant. Dark red color. Nose is dominated by wet forest floor or a musty basement. Blackberries, plum, and damp herbs on the palate. Medium depth with a shortish finish.

This was awesome! PnP’d. Very balanced wine. Medium plus depth. Integrated dark blue and black fruit with oak, vanilla, and cedar. Somewhat similar to Pontet Canet. Lovely silky texture and medium plus finish. Exactly how Napa Cab should taste!

Currant, cigar, tobacco upfront with long coca mocha finish.

Let it open, new inflatable pool toy on the nose. Blue fruit, graphite, wet mossy stone. Saved this one for years. Bad ass

Solid and definitely needed the aerator but aging well. Will be excellent in a few years. Deep and earthy. Lots of dark fruit.

Big, concentrated wine. Lots of oak and vanilla combined with blue and black fruit. Very deep but needs age to settle down.
