Hint of violets. Also tobacco mint and earth. Some "animale" notes but no Brett. Barossa better known for its Shiraz but this is an excellent old vineyard for Cabernet. Lovely wine at its peak. Tasted it again on 15 November. Initially could have been a Shiraz in a blind tasting. An excellent continental Cabernet with black currant notes. 96 points.

Gorgeous complex nose of cedar, coffee bean and some lantana. Medium weight palate with good length. Barossa better known for its Shiraz but the Dorrien vineyard has produced excellent Cabernet for many years.
