The first aroma is reminiscent of a red meat followed quickly by a soft fruit. There was a mild effervescence and a slight citric acid charge before mellowing to that soft fruit, not unlike the initial tartness of a raspberry. It is definitely the work of the Mendocino climate and nothing too chilly. It paired well with our roasted chicken and za'atar spiced green beans.
