Oh wow this is definitely a Malbec. Lots of white pepper the whole way. Nice wine from Michael.

Medium clear purple with thin edges. A bit cloudy. Black cherry bats leadoff on the nose only to be joined tamed spice and nutmeg. Floral aromatics really elevate this. I could honestly just keep smelling this for an hour. This is the Winter Côt from Savage Grace, a weightier Malbec but this is actually quite light and fresh.

This is definitely much more Cahors than South America. Silky on its feet, the savory aspect is much more prominent it’s Argentinian counterparts. On the palate there’s a generous amount of spice and oak. A noticeable grassy streak livens things up to commingle with the fresh red fruit. One of the more unique Malbecs out there and easily a couple of notches above the rest.
