Solane Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore Corvina Blend

The 2011 vintage has a potential for additional aging. As of today, it seems lacking the body of other Ripassos, but mostly because of the way the wine was re-fermented over partially dried grapes instead of the pressed clusters. Cherry and fruit, with persistent notes of spices and black pepper.

2011 is showing some age already. Enjoyable, earthy funk, but a little hot and out of balance

2019 very fruit forward and tasty wine

Pretty good. Got it from Total Wine for $12. I would repeat it

Cost me about 17 bones. Pretty light. I like it. Not a lot of flavor, but the flavor that doesn't exist is pretty good.

Light bodied, earthy, not memorable

First experience with ripasso. Medium dark garnet. Medium low body. Medium abv. High acid. Dry. Plum and cherry without sweetness. Good with Italian food. Not worth repeating
