The perfect year for California Cabernet , 2014! This is SanAntonio Centennial Red Blend. WOW. I may need a case of this. I would put this up against any 150 to 175 bottle of cab. And guess what? Its half that price. Right from the start you get an amazing distinctive cabernet grape in your mouth. But then there is the malbec and petit verdot and petite sarah kicking in. It also has a syrah grape blended in on the top. I love this wine!!!!!
The bouquet has lots of fresh blueberry pie fresh out of the oven baby! The palate hits very sudden with lots of those big flavorful dark fruits such as blackberry, dark currant, and ripe blueberries. Then comes the pepper and oak. Very Earthy on the mid palate. Hints of mineral rich soil finish it off. The finish is mildly dry and just perfect! Oh my, I need to order more of this before anyone else does. Maybe I should not post this rating... :-) - cheers! However, i just opened a 2016 and it was terrible. I poured it out. I’m sure it was probably a bottling issue.

This is an excellent Paso Cabernet blend and the blend really works. Great nose with lavender, baking spices, dark fruit and mushrooms and then a very layered drinking experience. It’s like working your way through a bag of hard fruit candy combined with an oaky, lavender and winter spice background. Finishes dry but rich with a slightly tart ending. The way I’ve described it sounds too sweet but it’s not, it’s just the way it makes your mouth feel after sucking on a hard candy. Enough nonsense, I highly recommend this and at $85 I think it’s good value.

This is San Antonio Winery's 100th Anniversary Centennial Blend from Paso Robles. 36%cabernet sauvignon, 28%malbec, 21%petit verdot, 11%petite sirah, 4%syrah. Kapow baby! This is BIG! Yes ding dang it Im giving another bottle of wine a perfect score!!!!!! Get over it. It means I can always buy this again and it will NEVER disappoint. Allow me to start with the color. It is a light absorptive dark purple. Not opaque, but far closer than it is to a pinot color. The legs are very thick and slow to fall. The bouquet is rhubarb pie and fresh picked gardenia flowers slightly subdued. The initial palate is dark cherry, blackberry, black currant, and buttered toast. The finish comes quick with explosions of black pepper and vanilla. There is no tartness on the beginning but a very small hint on the ending. It is very dry and sends me to my next sip of water. I cant wait to have the next taste however... darn good wine, darn good job my Roboli family friends! Anthony Riboli and Arnaud Debons have created something truly remarkable.
