Saint Verny
Puy de Dôme Pinot Noir
2012 - from the Auvergne region in the heart of France. 13.5%. For me it tastes a little bitter for a Pinot.

Jul 5th, 2014More structured than I've had before for a Pinot. Perhaps as I've more focused Californian Sonoma and New World. Less fruit and quite pleasant fortified tone I think. Slight oak and smoke, hint of Armagnac. That's it, it's Armagnac. Maybe they've overcooked the Armagnac tone a tad.

Dec 5th, 2015This is amazing for the price. Raspberry and drinks like a $25 bottle. Clean, jammy, balanced with complexity and pure berry from start to finish, very little acid or tannic but still bitter like a raspberry
