Cork pulled for slow oxidation, 11H rest at time of notes.

Jun 19th, 2022We love Zin, especially when it's well cellared and has some age behind it, they just turn into different wines with years passed. Great red-brown color, still jammy, yet tarry on the palate with heavy dried Bing cherry and voilet notes. Probably close to end of life, maybe 3-4 years left for anyone still holding this bottle. I would say, this is at peak for this bottling, yet continuing to evolve in the glass after +3hrs decant.
Paired with a grilled skirt steak and orzo with early summer vegetables and garden herbs, yum!
