Roche Wines
Arome White Blend
On the nose, high floral... Orange blossom, white flowers, apricot skin, and green grass... On the palate, lime, dried sage, mineral, apricot... Big acidity... Apricot finish that's medium, but stays clean... 2020 seems great! We had this with a creamy linguine.

Jan 29th, 2023The nose on this wine is all blossom and apricot. On the palate, it's again about the apricot and lime. The floral scent is still pervasive throughout the tasting experience. The wine is light bodied and quite acidic. We'd tried the wine earlier in the day at the winery, and I'd thought that the acidity here would work well with the Turkish inspired food at Elma. With all the fruitiness here, this really is bone dry and very light bodied. I think that rather than the Turkish food, I'd prefer a pairing with a lighter lunch with fish. Super interesting wine.

Jun 3rd, 2019The whole lineup is very well done at Roche. This is a grape that doesn't get a ton of respect, but the proof here is that it can make a perfectly respectable and quaffable white day-time sipper. Great!
