Roccolo Grassi
Valpolicella Superiore Corvina Blend
Wonderfully complex. Dried cherry, black cherry, and fig join leather, tea, and animale flavors. Not at all overripe. Wonderfully balanced.

Mar 27th, 2015Kind of forgot about this one. Sat in the back for about a year or two more than what I had wanted. Sweeter fruits are gone. Mature pipe tobacco, mushroom and Earth. Really stiff truffle and a little bit of bleu cheese. Not really much of a fan. For someone who eats, drinks, and breathes Italian wines with significant oxidation, this wine is probably right up their alley. It really wasn't for me.

Dec 12th, 2018SO earthy, like an amarino - dry resin - very smokey and a touch of black cherry.

Apr 12th, 2014This was an amazingly smooth wine that was full bodied enough to grasp yet light enough to sip for a while. In the words of Joni Mitchell, "I could drink a case of you".
