Reschke
Bos Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep impenetrable blood red. Oak on the nose with bacon, violets, black currant jam and a little must. Light-medium acidity and almost non-existent tannins are a surprise but bespeaks its age. Some sweetness consistent with new world cab. Cassis and dark fruits. Complex and delicious. Went well with steak but not a classic pairing due to the lack of tannins and sweetness. Would compliment hard and semi hard cheeses well. Also stews and casseroles.

Dec 20th, 2013Rich dark fruit and chocolate. If you are into intense flavoured wines you will like this. For me it was a bit too much so I put the cork in and tried it again 2 days later. It mellowed out and was much more enjoyable for me.
