Something was a little bit off about this one. Had a really nice malty nose with a hint of smokiness. The malt on this beer is a little too blah. It has a lot of good dark roasted qualities towards the end, but just not enough there. Previous bottlings of this one have been significantly more impressive than this. I have come to expect a lot from this Texas microbrewery.

I guess I just don't care for tripels.
