A 25 year old gem pulled by Joel Peterson himself. I was one of the lucky ones to snag a mixed case of his cellar selections from 1991-2013 for BD16. Still going strong with such incredibile fruit. Gonna share them of course but sneak a Coravin taste here and there …

Ruby in color with a wide brick rim.

A little mildew and earth notes on the nose.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing red currants, cooked plums, earth, light oak, mildew, spices, wet leaves, herbs, black pepper, tobacco leaf and dark chocolates.

Short finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.

This 27 year old Single Vineyard Zinfandel is not drinking at its best any longer. Interesting to try, but lost most of its fruits by now.

15% alcohol by volume.

87 Points.

Holding together much better than many cabs! Showing nicely dried fruit, spice and balanced acidity. Impressive effort
