While I preferred the original vintage of the Serendipity, I believe ‘16 was their first, this is still a fascinating blend. The Zin dominates, with a sheer blast of maraschino cherry: both Luxardo brandied and cheap sundae toppers. Salted caramel, milk chocolate and prune also present themselves. I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again, but the wine this small family owned winery is making is an incredible value.
