This is actually the 2013 Spectrum Estate Blend, mixing the three different varietals grown at Rasmussen: Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah. Having tried both the Cab and Merlot on their own - and they were lighter in style - it's not surprising the meaty, smoky Syrah chews its way through to the forefront. I can't recall for certain, but they may have said this blend was equal parts for all grapes. The Cab and Merlot add some softness, and the warm Paso days add some beautiful dried fruits. Drinking nicely right now.
