Living in the Limelight Petit Verdot

A rare PNW PV, violet and wood aromas, lovely

If you weren't a Rush fan or born much later, this one takes it's name from the Rush song "Limelight" and lyric,"Living in the Limelight." It's a blend of; 90% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet & 5% Merlot. Soft ripe fruits of; blueberries, dark cherries, blackberries, strawberries, plum, baking spices, loamy soils and fragrant purple foral bouquet. Body is M and the tannins are M-M+ but seriously velvety. Lean ripe fruits of; blueberries, dark cherries, blackberries, strawberries & plum. Baking spices, loamy soils and fragrant purple foral bouquet. Great acidity and elegantly, lean polished, floral finish.

Really solid PV. Drinking well.

Violets, purple goodness. Big fruit. Big acid. Soft tannins. Better than Jonata? Different, but I'd say yes.

Just like I remember from the tasting dinner. And what a great night that was!

What a yummy PV. Probably could have kept this in the bottle for a bit longer. Wine was 1/3 up the cork. Lots of flavor on this one. Does not disappoint. Let it breathe.
