One of my favourites, takes time to open up but once it does one of the best wines for price on market. Baby wine of granddaddy Quinta do Vale Meao, not as powerful but a great wine on its own

Overly fruited - lacking austerity and intensity these grapes can deliver. See Quinta Nova as an alternative that's distinctly more interesting and powerful as a good food pairing. Adequate but not distinguished.
