I love all the punta crena wines but this one especially partially because of the label and the story about the foxes eating the grapes! It’s a bit more dark fruited than the rossesse but still very light on its feet and perfect with a chill on a warm summer night with eggplant pasta! wish I was in Italy!!

Mar 15th, 2016A grape variety I've never heard of?!? Crovino from Liguria. Juicy like a cru Beaujolais, white pepper like a Rhône, rustic like a northern Piemontese Nebbiolo. Really interesting, but I wish it had a bit more acidity. Feels like something is missing from the mid-palate.
