2016: Tons of sour cherry Sangiovese fruit but not much else showing. Very tart, missing complexity and balance. Still too young? Possibly, but other years have tasted similar. Tough to justify with so many great 2016 Brunellos and CCRs. $45?

Excellent! One of my favorites. Dark fruit, charcoal, tobacco, and earthy notes. Gorgeous and no rush to drink!

Color of inky purple, with a bit of dark ruby. Nose is saturated, oak, dried fruits, vanilla, cherry, spice, crayon, and repeated fragrance. Taste of some solid tannins, fresh grapes, raspberry, some zesty flavors, sweet vanilla, fresh berries, and a bit mineral. Tasty and fruity. Aftertaste of some more fruity note with zest. Lots of flavors. Well done.
