Learning how to rate. Dry but fruity. Little bit of smoke?

Day 2... Smokey, sagebrush, herbal note are lifted and upfront. Plum, tobacco, and blackcherry show with time in the glass. Dark fruit dominates on the palate with a sweet cream, bramble berry midpalate. Spice and clove notes too. Finish is dry, shows a little heat, and persists with moderate tannins. This has integrated some, but could spend 5+ more years in the bottle easy. Drink now with a decant.

Nice, smooth dry red. Reminds me of the wine my father- in- law drank.

Red fruit with earth tones, not a lot of structure, decent acid. A lot better on day 2, more rounded with better balance.

Delicious medium-bodied read at a great value. Let it breathe for 30 minutes and it opens up nicely.

Solid wine that's well balanced. Very smooth upfront with earthly tones on finish.

Full-bodied & well-structured. Lots of flavors to experience. Part of the fun of my openness to any and all types of wine is tasting new varietals from countries like Portugal. give it a whirl and let me know what you think.
