Pierre Coursodon
La Sensonne Saint Joseph Syrah

Still so fresh. Just goes to show you how well wine holds up when it never leaves the place it's made. Elegant fruit, well resolved minerals & soft spice.

Unfortunately, somewhat closed at this point, even after a double decant. On the nose, hints of olives and spice. Missing the violets I want from a S-J. In the mouth, dark fruit and black olives. Medium-long finish. Needs time, but may not flesh out to what I would like it to be. Bought at the winery in France circa 2006.
