1995 - Chewy chewy skins - mocha and clay - Nice balance and concentration but not the brightest example I've had this wine ... came in third (3rd of 3) in our blind Boudreaux flight at Gwen restaurant on Sunset Boulevard "best bottle " dinner Hosted by WineLA 2/8/17

Youthful, for sure, but great length and intensity.

Super tannic, lush fruit, slightly bitter though. Still agressive.

Perfection ? Phantastic wine ! I only have had a few experiences with Petrus but this bottle is by far the best.

At first aggressive on the palate, 2+hours later... sublime

Another nice vintage. Full of spice, flowery aromas, and bread-smoky ones.

The big boy of the birthday weekend. Still big, bold, full of fruit, booze, celeriac yet approachable and smooth as you'd expect for its age. Could go another 10+ and an experience I'll never forgot. Definitely not a value play though

Exceptional though it's aways difficult to justify spending this amount of money on a single bottle. Oh well, once or twice a year one should splurge.
