Paul Boutinot
Percheron Old Vine Cinsault
Was very excited to try my first Cinsault, especially since it is one of the progenitors of my favourite pinotage. This wine didn't disappoint. Fruity if a bit sharp on the nose, full bodied, with a lighter red colouring than regular red. Some have likened it to a rosé, which to be clear, is nothing at all like it, be it colouring or flavour. The palette is surprisingly elegant for a screw top wine at this price: dry, berries with a pinch of spice. I'll definitely order this again.

Feb 9th, 2015£5.95 TWS. 2013 vintage. Hmmm - tried on James' recommendation - nice flavour but slightly thin. Amazing chilled though - like an intense rosé. Yum!
