Raspberries, smoke and syrupy liquorice on the nose and more herbaceous and acidic on the palate, making this a killer food wine. Think pasta and avoid chocolate.

Nice but a bit heavier on the palate than I expected. Great mineral tones (soil, asphalt), young tannins, high acidity. Decant for an hour or give it 5 more years in the bottle (I had 2012 vintage) and it will be 9.0.

Greay balance of fruit and earth. Wonderful nose: similar to the amarone just tried by the same producer. I am very impressed.
