Aux Pierres Chénas Gamay
Serious potential, if not as balanced or pretty as the 2014. Certainly more dense, inky and tannic than its predecessor. Showing vibrant sour cherry, raspberry, fresh cut purple flowers, spice cake, Asian spice and licorice. Tremendous mineral tension. Feels a bit extracted now but sure to be a winner.

Mar 7th, 2019Absolutely lovely. Floral with intense raspberry fruit, orange peel, Asian spice and stone fruit flavors. Surprisingly tannic and showing increasing mineral tension with more air. Very structured Chénas that can age even a bit longer.

Aug 29th, 2018Surprised at the structure. Underwhelmed, Felt tight. Needs more time. Perhaps better on day 2 or a couple more years.

Aug 21st, 2019Ruby color. Dried herbs on nose. Smooth light bodied, freshly acidic with raspberry notes, mild dry tannic finish suggests further aging potential.
