Parkers Estate
Dillon Springs Road Zinfandel
Dense purple red. Mint, cassis, a touch of butter in nose. Blackberry raspberry cassis leather briar and eucalyptus notes in mouth, veg (canned spinach) tar and anise on finish, some sediment (unfiltered? Label doesn't say), also a tad alcoholic. Some medium weight skin astringency in finish. Give it time to open as most flavors take time to develop. Decent Zin character, but fairly raw winemaking, admirable in an "old school" fashion really. If you need your wines filtered and clear, steer away from this one
