Similar to previous notes. Almost black in colour. Too rich, ripe and over extracted for my palate - from a warm year. Many would not pick this as 100% Cabernet. Interesting that the producer was allowed call this wine “First Growth “ with the inherent Bordeaux implications of top quality. Overpriced at $96 for what it is. One of the 1001 Wines. There must be better examples than this.

Quite dark crimson in colour - dense from this warm ripe vintage. Coonawarra mint with herbs, blackberry and cassis. Medium to full bodied palate needing more cellar time to develop complexity. Finishing with medium minus Tannins. Not particularly Cabernet - more like a ripe Barossa red. This wine is obviously the product of a warm vintage but the quality of the grapes is obvious. One of the premium Cuvées in the Coonawarra. Next one in 2 years.
