Paetra
Coast Range Pinot Blanc
Bright and fresh. Find it and buy it. Just in time for Thanksgiving.

Oct 29th, 2017As a palate often more fond of and familiar with the moving and generally more tense and substantive Pinot Blanc of Alsace and the Palatinate then Pfalz, I seldom find Pinot Blanc outside of those parts firm, flexing and yet nimble. Much like St Innocent, Paetra is a stunning revelation that Oregon has a bright future with this variety. Full but not fulsome, bright without hard edge, fruity but not limited to the Crayola 64. As an aspiring fly fisherman and avid trout eater I now have a screw capped wine for my creel this Spring. Tonight it was a delight with a ginger lemongrass poached cod on a bed of seared bok choy and fluffy white rice. Barely lasted the meal -next time I'll buy two for an evening with my little fox.

Jul 30th, 2016Razor-sharp, crisp, clean, light-green in the glass. Lime, sweet-tart, some green stem bitterness that works well with this wine, gains some richness and depth as it warms up. Perfect food wine. Happy to see some Oregon whites that aren’t chard or Riesling.

Mar 21st, 2021Got it at Red and White Wines wine club. Delicious! Had it with a turkey sandwich on an overcast Fall day—perfect compliment.
