This might be one of the worst wines I've ever had. I'm not going to finish this bottle and I'm seriously considering canceling my Club W subscription because of it. It's sickenly sweet and has none of the wonderful qualities of a true Zinfandel.

Agree with others about the metallic taste. Not horrible, but I won't get another bottle from Club W.

Good on the verge of great. I saw a lot of negative reviews of this wine, and I'm curious when those reviewers drank the bottle. I drank this bottle in July of 2015, so we can assume 3 years of age on the bottle, possibly more or less, and I thought this wine had really smooth, generous flavor, with impressive complexity. Lots of spice and sweet berry flavor, but this wine is dry. The second I took a sip, I remarked that it would be an absolutely perfect Christmas wine. It has the rich fruit, spice, and body that you look for in a boozy, comforting, sitting-by-the-fire in a sweater wine. I still enjoyed it as my nighttime wine, but it would be fabulous during the holidays at a family gathering.

Spicy/peppery flavor. Not bad but surprising.

Medium bodied, wonderful spice. Cinnamon almost? Dark fruits.
