Crisp but not pointy. A little boxwood-y funk, a little grapefruit. Great on Texas evening that’s just humid enough to warn of a sticky summer.

Apr 7th, 2019Screw top.
My first Pinot Gris. Was told it was "Suprising" from someone that generally doesnt drink this varietal.
On the nose, it had a funk that I have previously associated with some Sauvignon blanc. Notes of pear, green apple, tartness on the mild side. Has a yeasty quality.
Would not call it either dry nor sweet.
Very mild on the acidity, very soft Tannins. Has a color that is golden but less than most Chardonnays I am familiar with. Beautifully pale gold. Crystal clear and captures light hypnotically on the swirl.
