Wine started to open up more as it got closer to room temp. I touch of oak mixed with basic fruit and basic tannins.

Dark ruby in color with medium intensity and a purplish rim.

Great nose of dark fruits, cherries, plums, blackberries, vanilla, earth and black pepper.

Spicy on the mid palate and full bodied with nice acidity.

Fruity and tart on the palate with cherries, raspberries, plums, spices, earth, vanilla, licorice, metals, bitter herbs, green pepper and peppercorn.

Long, tart finish with soft tannins and spices.

This is a nice everyday red wine. Simple and better with food, but this was too tart for my taste.
