Great finish. It's a full bodied zin. I enjoyed the Switchback Merlot with dinner but this was a nice ending.

Nice color, nose and spice. But too hot (alcohol level) and dusty for my tastes. My Zin taste skews more to Turley and Rafanelli. Update: on the next day, it did not come across as hot but still too dusty. But I did finish the bottle! Rating stays at 88.

If you like big, rich zins this one is for you! 16.1% alcohol but doesn't taste hot. Lots of life left in this.

Nose starts with intense red berry fruit with a trace of darkness lurking in the shadows. Palate starts dark and dusty. It fills out quickly to a depth of black and blue fruit. 16.1% alcohol is noticeable.

Enjoyable but showing just a little too much sweetness for a higher score. The '11 is more balanced in that regard and, to me, a better wine.

Excellent. Deep rich black fruit with the right amount of spice.
