Nuà
Veneto Prosecco
Crisp and dry with notes of apple and pear. Was very enjoyable with herbed roast chicken.

Mar 17th, 2019My first ever procsecco, and it’s not a style that I have immediately warmed to.
I imagine it would go down well with a rich, creamy seafood dish, but on its own I find it a little inaccessible. It is certainly crisp and fruity, with flavours of green apple and pear dominant, along with a zesty citrus bite. The palate is creamy and delicate, but there’s a herbal, almost medicinal astringency that lingers in the mouth that I can’t quite fathom. Its not outright unappealing, more like intriguing, but it is well outside of my range of experience. I’m not sure if it’s typical of the variety or not.

Very bubbly, creamy, green apple/pear acids.
