Deep ruby in color with a wide light brick rim.
Fruity nose of cola, vanilla, fresh chopped wood, black currants, cherries, licorice, blackberries, dried figs, eucalyptus, mint, coffee, mocha, earth, light black pepper, metals, spices, chocolates, tobacco and herbs. An extremely complex nose.
Medium to full-bodied with medium acidity, smooth and elegant, with long legs.
Dry on the palate with sweet plums, cherries, oak, licorice, spices, dark chocolates, black currants, diet Coke, earth, leather, smoke, tumerac and light peppercorn.
Extra Long finish with fine grained tannins and spices.
This well aged, 11 year old, Merlot from Columbia Valley, Washington is very enjoyable now.
Balanced, complex and smooth, with lots of cola notes and no vegetables at all. Nice mouthfeel with lots of fruits and spices.
Good right out of the bottle. Great just by itself as a sipping wine, but also good with foods like beef stew or oven roasted lamb.
I really liked the nose for its complexity.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
