Stone and sunshine, dried black cherries, snippets of blackberry and plum with roasted coffee notes like ghosts down the hall smoking their clove cigarettes. So goes the bouquet. Cola and black cherries, toast and oak notes descend softly on a bed of raspberry and blackberry which bounce with a soft, pop-rock sizzle, then succumb to the aforementioned cherries. Complex despite the medium body which lends simplicity, and yet the balancing acid is ever present to remind you that this is a serious enough wine, begging for complex foods. A real treat.

Lovely, straight forward solid red. Not super big or bold but big enough to pair well with a big steak.

I love when a recipe requires a wine I've never had before. Full of fruit and light like a Beaujolais and solid price!

Visited Nicolis winery today, tried all of their seven wines including both of their Amarone wines. This is their low end wine and is both delicious and inexpensive.
