Once more, Mr. Harvey has delivered a winning varietal! This Washington Cabernet, a worthy successor to the superlative 2016 vintage, opts in to fruit rather than wood. It sports rich black currant and blueberry fruit, full bodied with a splash of acidic tartness to the finish. This is a perfect wine for burgers and fries, pizza, and other foods for which the acidity might cleanse one’s palate. 😺

Dec 18th, 2019This Columbia Valley (meaning mostly Prosser grapes) Cabernet Sauvignon is a nice counterpoint to Mr. Harvey’s Columbia Valley Cabernet Franc. It is a polished wine, silky smooth on the tongue, with a pleasant, lingering coffee ground finish. The wine itself is restrained and classy, with very muted red currants. It is not at all fruit forward, but more about style and grace. It works admirably with steak or as a cocktail wine.

Dry and tart Cabernet, heavy on the blackberry and cherry tones. Better with food, probably steak or chicken, than by itself.

Nice, full bodied cab. Rich blackberry and plum with warm baking spices to round out the palette.
