Mouthes Le Bihan
Pérette et les Noisetiers White Bordeaux Blend
Decent wine but a bit too much oak to stand up to the white and golden fruit, flowers, etc.

Aug 5th, 2017This appeared to be the best of a surprisingly bad wine list. The '09 was listed but they brought a '10. I'd have considered sending it back, but given the alternatives I would have ordered this even if it were the '10. I don't know of it's common for white Bordeaux, but to me this was a semillion treated like a chardonnay in California. The nose was all oak, and in the mouth the texture was syrupy and rich. Very little fruit and what's there can't stand up to the oak. I can't think of when I'd drink this: it's not refreshing, there isn't the usual crisp, fruit profile that compliments lighter food, and the general flabbiness won't stand up to a heavier meal.
