55-year-old Meunier vines. Fresh cherry and strawberry, medium - acidity, moderate intensity and tannin, kinda short finish.

Copper colored, intense, vibrant, quite rich, it's not something you would call typical, but damn it's interesting, definitely a food wine, there's a slight phenolic character on the finish that I think will stand up to some great dishes.

First things first, what an absolutely brilliant color. A striking deep red with enough fine, aggressive bubbles to keep you smiling. This really is one of those wines that just jump out of the glass at you. Blood orange and bold strawberry aromas right out of the gate. Cherries on the tart side are prominent with a touch of dried earth. Vanilla and herbs with more juicy red fruit as time goes by. This is simply outstanding.

If you’re familiar with Cédric Moussé, then you’re familiar with his stable of truly excellent grower champagnes. Always lower dosage, always terroir driven. He’s one of the masters of Meunier and shows it here. 100% Pinot Meunier from a single plot in Cuisles and aged three years on lees. Sharp, beautiful acidity due to the Extra Brut dosage. Nice weight and sophistication here as is the norm with his wines. Rosé the Saignée way so it has that boldness and purity of fruit.

So vinous and energetic, this is as classy and refined as you want but also just plain fun to drink. As time goes by, the balance sits perfectly as does the structure. That luscious red fruit is pure joy in the mouth, along with some nice citrus. Earthy funk and herb goodness. Terrific length, purity, and tension. The perfect way to start off a new year.

Strawberry compote and estragon herbs.
Intense aromatics and perfect acidity.
Really enjoyed this saignée. Paired with beef tartare.

Exclusively from Meunier coming from the oldest lieu-dit Les Bouts de la Ville. 144 hours cold pre-mentation maceration. Unlike most of Mousse wines, fermented in barrel, no malo.
36 months on lees, 2,5 g/l dosage.

Top class rosé.

Strong slate and salinity on the nose. Jam and sour plum up front and on the mid palette. Super lengthy with strong acidity. This will age quite well over the next seven years.
