Apr 17th, 2017Pale lemon in the glass with very active perlage initially. The nose is tremendous with apple butter and fresh baked bread smeared with honey. Green apples and cherries abound along with fresh herbs.
Pure Meunier from the village of Cuisles. These Moussé champagnes are always a distinct treat and easily some of the best on the market. Plus acidity and major plus on the character. Really nice tension and drama here. Dry with much finesse, 4 g/l dosage and disgorged in mid 2016.
Electric on the tongue, this is just coursing energy. Lively and bold, this is a very pure wine with terrific length. A nice bit of citrus on the palate with more apples coming to play. Captivating stuff. As ever.
