Mid to deep crimson with a touch of purple. A lovely red fruited perfume which will improve In years to come. Still a little contained on the palate with wonderful potential. Mt Mary is an aristocrat of the Yarra Valley covering several wine styles - all of them brilliant. Covering Cabernets (probably the flagship), Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This will drink well through to the latter part of this decade. Postscript: Received 99 points from James Halliday who is a long time Burgundy nut and has drunk more than his fair share of Grand Cru Burgundy

From Langtons Outstanding category at the tasting in Brisbane. Always one of Australia’s best Pinot Noirs and built to last. Not cheap at around $110 but cheap compared to Premier Cru Burgundy.

Clear and pale tawny in color. 4th of 4 and at 10 years developing beautifully. Resinous and sappy with silky tannins - very Burgundian. "Patrician" as JH accurately described in one of his notes. Elegant and built for extended cellaring.

Still very young. Needs a good decant. But one it opens up, delicious. Will be interesting to revisit In a few years.

Better than the Tasting note I made in August 2014. Forest floor notes - resinous and sap - quite Burgundian in structure. Pale color but full palate. Faded in power a few hours after decanting. Last one soon.

Lovely complex Burgundian like nose which sadly does not deliver on the palate. Thin and lacking in body. Disappointing for $100+. 16/20
