I kinda laugh when people hold up Lioco and Idlewild as great examples of wine from Mendocino. Graziano Family of Wines have been doing "New California" long before the hip New-Cal wineries in Mendocino began to appear. Let's have some respect for the history there. Anyway, this 2011 Aglianico is SEAMLESS. That's the only way to describe it in sum. The nose had nice fruit compote, Clay, oak, salinity. Palate is medium+, balanced, and again, seamless. Low pH around 3.45, high TA. Aged two years in French oak. Cost: 21 dollars wine club pricing.
