Cahors Malbec-Merlot

Toasted almonds, red currant, green bell pepper, tobacco

Supple and fresh with deep fruit and spice, palate is dry and mineral. Fun damp earthy aromas add complexity. Easy, straightforward, meant for the table

Good value. Nice to have around.

I'm not sure if I would choose it over my favorite comparably priced Cahors Malbec but I would like to try them both in a blind test test. It's good. Dark, luscious, just what I would expect.

Smooth, a little spicy, mild to no tanins, bright red fruits, light

Spicy and dry. A weird smell of green bell pepper on the nose.

Blackberry, firm tannins, a hint of leather, palate cleansing acidity. Great with grilled meat, though the higher alcohol clashes a bit with salty food.

I did not like this. Done buy until your learn to like dry dry dry .
