Decanter next...
A Barolo-like nose, some raisin aspect, dried tart cherry, moist/earthy (it's Earth Day BTW, did you better the planet today?) aspects, and call me crazy, but if I sniff hard enough there is a faint new shower curtain aroma.
Palate is rehydrated raisin & cherry. Tannins are still quite present. I'm thinking we may only do half this borrow tonight and revisit tomorrow, it's still tight. I think this could go another 8-10 quite easily.
24 Hour Update: Nose is closer to the same, but a little more depth to the Earth & vinyl notes. Palate is significantly improved, rehydrated cherry, portabella mushroom/umami flavors, just killing it, worth another point tonight. Only bottle...argh!
